ALBANY - Georgia K. Zeller, 96, died in the presence of the Lord, naturally with grace and dignity on Friday, August 16, 2013 in the home built by her grandfather and father where she lived all of her life. Born and educated in Albany, she was the daughter of the late George M. and Elizabeth A. (Anderson) Zeller. Miss Zeller was a registered nurse working in the maternity ward at St. Peter’s Hospital in the 1930’s. She was a Communicant of St. Francis of Assisi Parish, formerly the Church of St. James. Miss Zeller loved and enjoyed her cats, coffee and kit-kat candy bars.
She was predeceased by her sisters, Veronica T. Zeller and Elizabeth Z. Chandler. Survivors include her cousin Jeffrey Rings and his wife Kim of Delmar; her adopted grandsons Michael DeSorbo of Delmar, and William Ray “Bobby” Moore and her true friend, Marjorie Hepp of Albany.
A special thanks to the Eddy, Hospice, Albany County Protective Services, Trish the cleaning lady and all the wonderful nurses who helped with Georgia’s care during her illness.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 24, 2013 at 11 a.m. in the Daniel Keenan Funeral Home , 490 Delaware Ave., Albany. Relatives and friends are invited and may also call at the funeral home on Saturday from 9 to 11 a.m. prior to the service. Interment will be in Graceland Cemetery, Albany.
