Young, Mark W.

ALBANY– Mark W. Young, 64, passed away unexpectedly November 5, 2018. Born in Albany, he was the son of Mary Caminiti Young and the late William Young.

Mark graduated from Shaker High School, Hudson Valley Community College and Paul Smith’s College from where he received a bachelor’s degree in hotel management.

Mark was an insurance agent and built the largest Nationwide Agency in the Albany area during the late 1980’s and into the mid 1990’s. For the past 15 years, he owned and operated a successful truck/car rental and self-storage company.

In addition to his mother Mary; Mark is survived by his wife Carol; sons Joshua and Drew (Natashia); brothers Kevin and Billy; grandson Jasper; and several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with his family on Friday, November 9, 2018 from 4-7 pm in the Daniel Keenan Funeral Home, Inc., 490 Delaware Ave. Albany. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday, November 10 at 11:30 am in the Chapel of St. Pius X Church, Loudonville. Interment will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may send donations to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, P.O. Box 1000, Dept. 142, Memphis, TN 38148-0142.
