Woolford, Jay F.

SELKIRK- Jay F. Woolford, 50, passed away suddenly Friday, October 12, 2018.

Jay was born in Albany, the son of William Woolford and the late Sharon Sagendorph Woolford. He graduated from Bethlehem Central High School and was a US Air Force Veteran. Jay was a member of IUEC, Local 35 for 30 years, later becoming business manager. He was devoted to his Local and International Union brothers and sisters.

Jay loved spending time with his family. He enjoyed the outdoors, golfing, boating and fishing. He was a member of the American Legion in Voorheesville, and was also a member of the Bethlehem Business Men’s Golf League.

In addition to his father, he is survived by his loving wife Terri (Baker) Woolford; daughter Samantha Woolford; brothers Brian Woolford, Bruce Woolford (Deborah), and Jeffrey Woolford (Mary); mother-in-law Beverly Baker; brother-in-law Robert Baker, Jr. (Mary Ellen); nieces and nephews Evan, Brittany and Katie Woolford, Nathaniel and Abigail Baker

Relatives and friends are invited and may visit with his family Thursday, October 18, from 4-7 pm in the Daniel Keenan Funeral Home, Inc., 490 Delaware Ave. Albany

His Funeral services will be held Friday, October 19 at 10:00 am in the funeral home.

Interment will follow the service in Bethlehem Rural Cemetery (Elmwood Cemetery), 922 Route 9W, Selkirk.
