Winkler, Sherron A.

ALBANY- Sherron A. Winkler, passed away March 25, 2023. Born in Albany, she was the daughter of the late William and Maureen Straney. Sherron graduated from Albany High School and SUNY Oneonta. She worked for many years with Meyer, Suozzi, English and Klein, PC and later with the New York State Assembly.

Sherron was a beautiful woman who loved beautiful things. Living in the Lark Street community for many years, she enjoyed hosting holiday parties filled with special touches for all of her friends and family. Her bright light will be missed.

She is survived by her sister Caillin (Straney) Furnari and niece Alexandria Furnari; sister-in-law Tara Walters; aunt, Dawn Murley and many cousins and close friends. In addition to her loving parents, she was predeceased by her brother Sean Straney

A memorial Mass to celebrate her life and her father Bill will be held on Friday, April 14 at 10:00 am in the Convent of Mercy Chapel, 634 New Scotland Ave. All are invited to attend. Interment will follow in St. Agnes Cemetery, Menands.
