Willi, Gretchen A.

GLENMONT- Gretchen Ann Willi, 63 was called home by God on Friday, June 10, 2011 and now rejoices in heaven forever.

She was born Gretchen Ann Yaun to Scharma (Freer) Yaun of Liberty, NY and the Late Richard Yaun. Gretchen resided in Liberty most of her life before moving to Albany, NY in 1986. She graduated from Liberty High School in the summer of 1966, and attended the Centenary College for women in Hackettstown, NJ. Gretchen worked for the family business, Yaun Company Inc. for a number of years and was also a real estate agent for Coldwell Banker in Albany. She also served as the church secretary of Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Bethlehem, NY.

Gretchen was a servant of the Lord at the First Presbyterian Church of Liberty, NY and Bethlehem Lutheran Church where she sang in the choir and was a Sunday school teacher. She loved her family and she loved the Lord.

She was united in Holy Marriage to Alan Willi of Liberty, NY on March 26, 1968. They were blessed with 3 sons Roderick Alan of Glenmont, NY, Scott Aaron (Kim Schumacher) of Eureka, IL, and Daniel Adam, (Stephanie Sodergren), of Delmar, NY . She is also survived by 2 grandchildren, Jackson Charles and Anna Olivia, both of Delmar, NY.; she is also survived by her brothers; Richard Jr.(Nancy) Yaun of Liberty NY, Clayton Yaun, of Pueblo, CO, Daniel Warren (Hazel) Yaun of Liberty, NY, Radford (Meredith) Yaun of Clearmont, FL; sisters Talis Berg (Lance) of Patterson, NY and Kathryn Amy Yaun of Minneola, FL.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 15, 2011 at 10am in Bethlehem Lutheran Church. Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the CHURCH on Tuesday from 3-8pm.
