ALBANY- Michele Christine Valek, 50, of Albany NY, passed away suddenly on July 7, 2023.

Michele was born in 1973 to Teresa Rogg and Raymond Valek in Albany, NY. After Michele graduated from Bishop Magin in 1991, she went on to study medical coding and billing at Branford Hall University. After graduating with a degree in medical coding and billing, she started her job at CDPHP as a medical billing specialist.

In 1997, Michele and Michael Roy went on to have one child, a daughter named Abigale Christine Roy.

In her spare time, Michele enjoyed hunting, fishing, painting, and taking trips with her dog Charlie.

Michele was predeceased by both sets of grandparents; Franz and Hedwig Rogg and Amil and Olga Valek. She is survived by her parents, Teresa and Ray, numerous cousins, and her daughter Abbi.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with her family on Sunday, July 16, 2023 from 2-4 pm in the Daniel Keenan Funeral Home, 490 Delaware Ave. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, July 17, at 9:30 am in St. Francis of Assisi Church, 391 Delaware Ave. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Glenmont. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society, 3 Oakland Ave., Menands, NY 12204.
