Travis, Pearl J.

ALBANY- Pearl J. (Camp) Travis, 78, passed away Sunday, July 22, 2018 at Albany Medical Center Hospital. Born in Cherry Valley, NY, the daughter of Jay and Melissa (Bolton) Camp, she graduated from Philip Schuyler High School. She was a telephone operator for more than 30 years with NY Telephone Co. and later AT & T. Pearl was a member of the Telephone Pioneers and Trinity United Methodist Church. She enjoyed cooking, cleaning and watching QVC.

She is survived by her three sons, Michael (Anna Marie) Travis of Slingerlands, Randall Travis of Albany, and Douglas Travis of Sherwood, OR; five grandchildren Jessica Pearl, Julia, Anna, Kennedy and Melissa Travis; her sister Judy Alice (late Freddy) Hafford; neighbors and care givers Betty and Gigi; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by siblings Floyd James Camp, Virginia Helen Randall, Marie Frances Parker, Elizabeth Jean Bowen, Evelyn Grace Burnside and Emma Nellie Hurst and her best friend Eileen Bergin.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 28, 2018 at 10:30 am in the Daniel Keenan Funeral Home, Inc., 490 Delaware Ave. Relatives and friends are invited and may also visit with her family prior to the service from 9-10:30 am. Interment will follow the service in Bethlehem Cemetery, Delmar.
