Trapasso, Patricia

ALBANY – Patricia Vennard Trapasso, 93, passed away peacefully in her sleep at the Teresian House on Wednesday, April 28, 2021. Born in Albany, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Barbara Rohrmiller Vennard and wife of the late Joseph Angelo TrapassoSr. who died May 26, 1954.

Patricia graduated from Cathedral Academy and Albany Business College where she received a degree in accounting and business administration. She was co-owner and president of Eastern Railroad Industries and its corporate subsidiaries. ERI started out repairing railroad tracks throughout the east coast from Maryland to Vermont. At the time of her death Patricia was co-owner and president of Eastern Railroad Equipment (ERE) which owns ten commercial and industrial acres in South Plainfield, NJ.

Patricia was a member of the Colonie Chamber of Commerce and volunteer at Ronald McDonald House in Albany.

She is survived by her son Joseph Angelo Trapasso Jr. and his wife Darcie; granddaughter Stephanie Trapasso Wyman and her husband Seth; great-grand children Theodore Joseph “TJ” and Jane Marie Wyman; her siblings Eileen Vennard Bond, Barbara Vennard Crosby and Gerald (Barbara) Vennard; sister-in-law Arlene Vennard; also survived by many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her siblings Charles Vennard, Sr. Mary Barbard Vennard CSJ, Robert Vennard, Marilyn Vennard Sasso and Jackie Vennard.

The family extends a special thank you to the staff at the Teresian House for the care and kindness shown to Patricia during her stay.

A memorial Mass will celebrated on Saturday, May 1, 2021 at 10:00 am in the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, 125 Eagle St. Albany. Masks, social distancing and occupancy limitations will be followed. The Mass will be livestreamed at rcda.org/livestream. Interment will be held privately.
