Tierney, David R.

CASTLETON-ON-HUDSON – David R. Tierney, 59, died Monday, March 28, 2022 at home. Born in Albany, Dave was the son of the late Bob and Martha Tierney. He graduated from Bishop Maginn High School and worked for the City of Albany in the forestry department, retiring after 30 years of service.

Dave enjoyed bowling and loved the outdoors especially ice fishing. He was an avid fan of the Boston Red Sox, Boston Bruins, and Miami Dolphins. He also enjoyed vacationing in Florida.

Dave is survived by his life partner Carolyn Stack; siblings Julie (Pete) Lennox, Eileen (Alan Foreman) Tierney, and Bob Tierney; grandchildren Alexa and Adriana; nieces and nephews Joseph (Angela), Andrew (Meghan) Lennox, Austin Wisser and Alison Tierney; and his grandnieces Ellie and Rylee. He was predeceased by his beloved fur baby Fergie.

Relatives and friends are invited tovisit with his family onFriday, April 1, 2022 from 10:00 am to 12 noon in the Daniel Keenan Funeral Home, Inc., 490 Delaware Ave. Albany.A celebration of life service will be held at 12:00 noon in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Glenmont.
