Susan M. Urbanski, 65, passed away on December 22, 2023, after a brief illness. A lifelong Albany resident, Susan was the daughter of the late Walter S. Urbanski, Sr. and Rita Ann Urbanski. She was predeceased by her brother Walter S. (Meg) Urbanski, Jr. and sister Marlene A. Urbanski. She is survived by her sisters Karen T. Urbanski, Rita R. (Daniel) Papandrea and brother Edward J. (Kathy) Urbanski. Additionally, Sue is survived by her cousin and good friend Mary Marx and Aunts Florence Whitney and Alice Urbanski. Also survived by her nephew John Urbanski and niece Katrina Urbanski (Patricia Grande) and great-nephew Dominic and cousins Cathy Kozilsky, Robert Whitney and Mary Anne Moore. Susan attended St Catherine of Siena School, Cardinal McCloskey High School and the Albany Occupational Center for Nursing. She worked for many years as an LPN at the Villa Immaculate Nursing Home. Sue’s gardening and baking skills were exceptional. She loved spending time with family and friends, especially during the holidays. Most of all, Susan will be remembered for her gentle spirit and kindness towards everyone. To celebrate Susan’s life a wake will be held from 3:00PM - 6:00PM on Tuesday, January 2, 2024, at Daniel Keenan Funeral Home, 490 Delaware Ave., Albany, NY 12209. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 10:30AM on Wednesday, January 3, 2024, at Mater Christi Church, 40 Hopewell St., Albany, NY 12208. A private burial will follow for the family at Our Lady of Angels Cemetery, Colonie. Those wishing to remember Susan may donate in her memory to Mater Christi Church, 40 Hopewell St., Albany, NY 12208.
