Spooner, Elizabeth H.

LARGO, FLORIDA-Elizabeth (Hackett) Spooner, formerly of LaGrange Rd., Delmar died Tuesday, June 21, 2011. Born and educated in Albany she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Mary (Brady) Hackett. Mrs. Spooner was a homemaker and owned the Dorothy Lynn dress Shop in Delmar for many years until her retirement. She was a Communicant of the Church of St. Thomas the Apostle in Delmar for many years and most recently a Communicant of St. Jerome Church in Largo, Fl. She was a member of Zonta, BBW in Delmar and volunteered with the SBA upon her retirement.

Wife of the late Kenneth C. Spooner; beloved mother of Joan Boehner and her husband Robert of Rochester, NY, Linda Mercer and her husband Jim of Largo, FL and Ken Spooner and his wife Margaret of Yerington, NV.; cherished grandmother of Meghan and Tom Eakin, Ken and Kir Boehner, Patrick and Katrina Mercer, Bonnie and Jerry LaBarr, Jeffery Mercer; great-grandmother of Lauren and Alex Goulet Eakin, Beatrix Boehner, Kayla, Megan, Jacob and Jordan Mercer, Ashley Crouch, Jimmy and Morgan LaBarr. She is also survived by a great-great-grandson, Jonathan Crouch and many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated Thursday, June 30, 2011 at 9:30am in the Chapel of the Church of St. Thomas the Apostle, 35 Adams Pl., Delmar. Interment will be in St. Agnes Cemetery in Menands. There will be no public calling hours.
