Soucy, Marilyn W. (Mccarthy)

GLENMONT – Marilyn W. (McCarthy) Soucy died peacefully, on Sunday, August 13, 2017 at Albany Medical Center with her loving family at her side. Marilyn, the daughter of James L. and Irene Bowness Welch was born in 1937. A resident of the Town of Bethlehem since 1970, Marilyn previously resided in Cayuga County. She was an active volunteer at St. Thomas Church and Bethlehem Senior Services as well as numerous community service organizations.

She is survived by her three sons Mark McCarthy (Gina) of Delmar, Michael McCarthy (Lorri) of Selkirk and William McCarthy (Jaime Louridas) of Selkirk; her step-daughter Karen Divoto; brothers Donald Welch (Susan) and Richard Welch; five grandchildren Ryan (Corinne), Patrick (Brittany), Hannah, Tyler and Haley McCarthy; great-grandchildren Brodie, Ivy, and Adela; and her canine companion Kate. She was predeceased by her husbands Donald McCarthy and Leo Soucy and her step-son David Soucy.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Marilyn’s family prior to the Mass on Friday, August 18 from 9:00 am -10 am at St. Thomas Church. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10am.
