Soraghan, Rosemary

ALBANY- Rosemary (Travis) Soraghan, 74, passed away peacefully at her sister’s home on Monday, May 14, 2018.

Born in Albany, she was the daughter of the late Kenneth and Rose (Gabel) Travis, Sr.

Rosemary was a longtime Communicant and Eucharistic Minister at St. Francis of Assisi Parish. For many years, Rosemary worked for Key Bank as a money transfer supervisor. She was a dear friend and longtime caregiver of the late Rev. Anthony Sidoti; Pastor Emeritus of St. James Church. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister.

Rosemary was predeceased by her husband of 53 years Owen “Bud” Soraghan, Jr. and their daughter Shannon, and her brother Kenneth Travis, Jr. (Carol). She is survived by her children Kenneth Owen Soraghan (Linda Mary), and Patricia Lynn Thomas (David); grandchildren, Nicholas, Kylie, and Alexander Thomas, and Evan Soraghan; her siblings Corinne Holbine, Ann Anastasio (Joseph), Mary Bruno (late Thomas), and John Travis (Betty); also many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with her family Thursday, May 17 from 4-7 p.m. in the Daniel Keenan Funeral Home, 490 Delaware Ave. Albany. Funeral services will be held Friday, May 18 at 10:15 a.m. from the funeral home thence to St. Francis of Assisi Parish, where her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow the Mass in Calvary Cemetery, Glenmont.
