ALBANY- Mary Angela Cudemo Slovak, 72 passed away peacefully after a brief illness on Tuesday, December 4, 2018 at the Hospice Inn at St. Peter’s Hospital.
Born in Albany in 1946 she was the daughter of the late Anthony J. and Dorothy M. (Theriault) Cudemo. Angie retired in 2008 from the NYS Department of Motor Vehicles after over 20 years of service. Angie was always kind-hearted and looked out for everyone. She truly cherished her time spent with her children, grandchildren, and pets.
She loved the NY Times Sunday crossword puzzle. She was an awesome cook, especially her apple pies.
She is survived by her daughters Michelle King (Paul), Kimberly Slovak, and Caroline Steinborn (Eric); granddaughters Rachel King, and Olivia Steinborn; grandsons Bryan King, and Leonardo Steinborn; her siblings Dorothy Sherwood, and Nicholas Cudemo; also survived by several beloved cousins, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister Jean Kois, brothers Anthony Cudemo, Jr., and Peter Cudemo.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 8, at 11 am in the Daniel Keenan Funeral Home, Inc., 490 Delaware Ave. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. In memory of Angie, please take care of one another as she took care of all of us. In lieu of flowers, those who wish, may make a donation to Mohawk Hudson Humane Society, 3 Oakland Ave., Menands, NY 12204 or the Schenectady Inner City Ministry, 1055 Wendell Ave., Schenectady, NY 12308.
