ALBANY- Bernadette Catherine Sidoti, 59. As heaven and earth aligned on October 23, 2011 a lighted passage opened and Bernadette traveled toward the open arms of God, into the gates of heaven where she was joyfully reunited with her parents Bosti and Mary and her brothers Louis and Richard.
Bernadette Catherine Sidoti was born in Albany on April 2, 1952 to her beloved parents, Albany Police Detective Anthony Sidoti and Mary Goitz Sidoti whose love was endless. She was a 1971 graduate of the Academy of the Sacred Heart where she was the benefactor of an outstanding education which allowed her to be a valuable member of society. She was a loving and beautiful woman who enjoyed teaching young children how to read and write. Her happiest time was being with her family at special occasions where she loved to dance. She was an inspiration to many through her achievements in spite of the challenges she faced in her lifetime.
She leaves to cherish her memory her devoted sisters, Frances Paula McCoy and Mary Martha Fazio; her brothers Thomas, Anthony and Joseph Sidoti; her in-laws, William McCoy, Anthony Fazio, Patricia Sidoti, Mary G. Sidoti, Antoinette Sidoti and Rosalie Sidoti; her aunts, Frances Johns, Lucy Goitz, Frances Sleasman and Amelia Belschwinder and her uncle Anthony Minissale. She is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews as well as many cousins and friends.
