Sgamblore, Mary A.

ALBANY- Mary A. (Bonanno) Sgamblore died Tuesday, August 24, 2010 at Albany Memorial Hospital. Born in Albany she was the daughter of the late Charles and Nancy (Monforte) Bonanno. Mrs. Sgamblore worked for the NYS Dept. of Labor for 38 years retiring in 1983. She was a longtime communicant of St. Catherine of Siena Church and a member of the Italian American Community Center and Pat Aiezza Post #1181. Mrs. Sgamblore volunteered her time with various organizations including the Catholic Women's Association at the LaSalle School.

Wife of the late John J. Sgamblore; mother of the late John W. Sgamblore; grandmother of John Joseph Sgamblore; sister of John J. Bonanno of Glenmont, and the late Bessie Guidetti and Josephine Ciani; mother-in-law of Meg Sgamblore. Mrs. Sgamblore is also survived by many nieces and nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews.

The family expresses a special thanks to the staff of the Red Unit at the Daughters of Sarah Nursing Home.

Funeral services will be held Monday, August 30, 2010 at 8:15 am from the Daniel Keenan Funeral Home, Inc., 490 Delaware Ave. thence to the Parish of Mater Christi, 40 Hopewell St. where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9 am. Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the funeral home Sunday, August 29, 2010 from 3-6 pm. Interment, St. Agnes Cemetery.
