Schissler, Peter H., Iii

Albany- Peter H Schissler III, 53 passed away on Saturday September 2, 2023, after battling cancer for the past 3 years. Born in Albany on April 21, 1970, he was the son of Angela Schissler and the late Peter H Schissler Jr.

Peter graduated from Bishop Maginn High school. He worked as a Loan Officer at First Guarantee Mortgage Co in Saratoga and various other mortgage companies. Peter was an excellent baseball and football player in his youth. Also playing varsity football and baseball during his time at BMHS. He always enjoyed watching baseball and football, especially his favorite teams: The Raiders, Notre Dame and Baltimore Orioles. In his spare time Peter also enjoyed playing golf.

Peter is survived by his daughters, Vivien and Claire Schissler. His sisters, Jackie (Rich) Jop and Beth (Alex) Kim and brother Michael Schissler. Also survived by his niece Alicia Jop and nephews, Andrew Jop, Cenzo and Torre Kim, and by his aunts, uncles and cousins.

Relatives and friends are invited and may call on Tuesday, September 12, 2023, from 10 am to 12 pm at the Daniel Keenan Funeral Home, 490 Delaware Avenue, Albany, NY 12209. A Memorial service will take place at the funeral home at 12 pm. The burial will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
