Scheppach, Margaret

ALBANY- Margaret Scheppach, 79, died Sunday, August 22, 2010, at Our Lady of Mercy Life Center in Guilderland.

Born in Albany she was the daughter of the late Maximilian A. and Rhea M. (Murray) Scheppach. Miss Scheppach was a graduate of Kenwood Academy of the Sacred Heart, attended Manhattanville College and was a 1953 graduate of the College of Saint Rose. She entered the Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet and remained with the order until 1977. Miss Scheppach earned her doctorate from the Eastman School of Music of the University of Rochester. She taught at the College of Saint Rose for 28 years, retiring in 1998. While at the college she participated in semi-annual faculty recitals as a lyric soprano.
