Santiago, Patricia A.

ALBANY - Patricia A. Santiago, 83, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 28, 2022 at St. Peter’s Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Born and educated in Albany, she was the daughter of the late Eugene and Ann Marie VanAmburgh.

Patricia began her career as a switch board operator for NY Telephone where she worked until her children were born. She later put herself through secretarial school and returned to the workforce. She retired in the 1990s from United States Corporation Company to take care of her father.

Patricia spent her life taking care of her family. She enjoyed singing, dancing and spending time at the North Albany American Legion Post.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her daughter Suzanne Santiago and her brother Robert VanAmburgh. She is survived by her daughters Michele Santiago (Joseph Sabot) and Denise Santiago; her grandchildren Daniela Santiago and Damian Vigay; great-grandchildren Aiden Michael, Brody, Jaxon and Jace; her brother Eugene VanAmburgh, Jr and sister Joanne Lauer; also several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held privately. Inurnment will be in St. Agnes Cemetery, Menands.
