COLONIE- Rose (Trimarchi) Salvo, 82, passed quietly from this life on Tuesday, July 5, 2011 after a brief illness. Her husband, Louis was by her side. She later left the State and went to work for her brother-in-law, the late Dr. Frank DeRossi where she remained until 1960. At that time, Rose decided to stay at home and raise her family. After 16 years, Rose returned to work for the State and gladly retired after a total of 41 years.
She married Lou, her husband of 58 years, on April 19, 1953 in a rain, snow, sleet and mud storm. In the middle of a January snowstorm in 1963, she moved her family to Colonie where she lived until her death.
