Salvatore, Joseph A.

HUDSON- Joseph A. Salvatore, 63, passed away suddenly on Saturday, January 9, 2021 at Albany Medical Center Hospital.

Born and educated in Hudson, he was the son of the late Joseph and Delores (Mataska) Salvatore.

Joe worked as a NYS Corrections Officer for 25 years, retiring in 2007. He was a life member of Stockport Fire Co. #1 and a member of ALI, Adult Learning Institute at Columbia-Greene Community College.

Joe was the husband of Sherry (Potts) Salvatore; father of Aleena Salvatore of Hudson, Joseph and Charles Salvatore both of Camden, SC; step-father of George Cotich of Albany; brother of Michael (Lori) Salvatore of Valatie, Eileen (Mike Cross) Salvatore of Hudson and the late Felix Salvatore. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Due to COVID-19 there will be no services at this time. A celebration of Joe’s life is being planned for Spring 2021. Interment will be in West Ghent Cemetery.
