Ryan, Katherine E.

DELMAR – Katherine E. Ryan, 97, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Wednesday, May 10, 2017 at the Hospice Inn at St. Peter’s Hospital. The family mourns the loss of a very strong and special woman. Katherine was predeceased by her mother Eva (Kiszka) Makowski; her beloved husband, James P. Ryan; her cherished daughter, Kathleen A. Ryan and her siblings, Andrew Makowski and Celia DeLisle. Survivors include her daughter, Maureen R. (the late William) Peters; her son, James P. Ryan; six grandchildren, Jan (Wayne) Wood, Kerry Ryan, Kara (Jeff) Fumarola, Bill Peters, Christopher (Jen) Ryan, and Michael (Cheryl) Ryan; 11 great-grandchildren; her sister-in-law, Mary (the late Edward) Ryan, several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with her family Tuesday, May 16, 2017 from 10 to 11 a.m. in the Chapel and gathering area at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 35 Adams Place, Delmar. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. in the Church. Interment will follow the Mass in Our Lady of Angels Cemetery, Colonie.
