ALBANY- Mary C.( Lentini) Rutigliano, 73, died Thursday, November 12, 2009 at her daughter’s residence after a long illness. Born and educated in New York City, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Losudro) Lentini. She worked for Cecilware in Astoria, NY for 26 years and retired to Albany in 2004.

She was the wife of the late Joseph L. Rutigliano; mother of Joseph (Laurel) Rutigliano of Richmond Hill, NY, and Christine (John Casellini) Rutigliano of Albany. Mary enjoyed spending time with her large, close-knit Italian family and friends, surrounded by wonderful food, laughter, love and affection. She was the sister of Phyllis (the late John) Smith of Astoria, NY, Michael (Nina) Lentini of Flushing, NY and the late Catherine (the late Joseph) Fernandez of Valley Stream, NY. A devoted grandmother to Natalie, Jolene and Joseph Rutigliano, Joseph and Andrew Casellini. Mary is survived by many loving, compassionate and supportive nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Monday, November 16, 2009 at 8:45 am from the Daniel Keenan Funeral Home, 490 Delaware Ave., Albany thence to St. Vincent de Paul Grotto, corner of Yates and Ontario Streets, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30 am. Relatives and friends are invited and may also call at the funeral home Sunday, November 15, 2009 from 3-8 pm. Interment will be at 1:30 pm in St. Michael’s Cemetery, Queens, NY.
