Russo, Stephen A.

NORTH GREENBUSH- After a courageous four year battle with cancer, Steve, 71, passed away on Friday, August 20, 2021, leaving behind his loving wife of 48 years Barbara, three children Michelle (Will) Schwab, Stephanie ( Paul) Koelbel and Stephen (Stephanie) Russo, his adoring seven grandchildren, William and Christopher Schwab, PJ and Sean Koelbel, Jack, Grace and Olivia Russo. He also leaves behind two sisters-in-law Mary (Jack) Scarpellino and Lois Riley.

Steve is the son of the late Sally and Dom Russo. He was an only child but grew up in a neighborhood with all of his cousins, who were like his brothers and sisters. Though nothing could match the love he had for family, Steve was also an avid Jets fan and lover of Disney, spending his Sundays watching Gang Green and taking countless trips to Disney with his wife and children.

Steve worked in IT his entire career, retiring in 2012.

We would like to thank all of the wonderful people from Hospice, especially Beth and Joe who were both so very helpful in our time of need.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with his family on Wednesday, August 25, 2021 from 3-6 pm in the Daniel Keenan Funeral Home, Inc., 490 Delaware Ave. Albany.
