ALBANY-Enrico“Eddie” Rotondaro passed away peacefully on November 25, 2017 at the age of 97.

Enrico was a life long resident of Albany and the son of the late Joseph and Domenica (DeFranco) Rotondaro. He was predeceased by his beloved siblings Angie Rotondaro, Mary (Isidore) Gillette, Antoinette Cassala, Emma (Harry) Bonacker, Albert (Beverly) Rotondaro and Richard Rotondaro.

Enrico is survived by his youngest brother Joseph (Joy) Rotondaro and his sister in law Margaret (the late Richard) Rotondaro as well as many nieces and nephews.

He was especially close to his niece, Lou Ann Novotny, who throughout his life loved and cared for him.

Enrico was a wounded Army veteran in World War II and was a recipient of the Purple Heart.

Enrico retired from New York State in 1983.He loved a variety of music including Frank Sinatra. He was a proud member of the Pat Aiezza Post 1181. He enjoyed bowling, playing golf and working out at the Albany Jewish Community Center. He will always be remembered for his sharp wit and his love for the Boston Red Sox.

The family would like to thank Chinessa Ryan, Susie Cook and their devoted staff for the care, friendship and love they gave to Uncle Ed.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday at 10:30 am in St. Francis of Assisi Church, 391 Delaware Ave, Albany. Relatives and friends may visit with his family on Thursday prior to his Mass from 9-10 am at Daniel Keenan Funeral Home, 490 Delaware Avenue Albany.Interment to follow at Calvary Cemetery in Glenmont.
