Rosemary “Rosie” Agans

ALBANY- Rosemary Agans, born in Albany on August 10, 1938 to the late Magdalen Miller-Bartow and the late Raymond Miller, passed away Saturday, October 12, 2024.  She lived most of her life on Slingerland St in Albany.

“Rosie” as she was known by her friends; had an outgoing personality and always made people around her laugh.  She made friends wherever she went. Rosie lived a full life as a wonderful mother, homemaker and worker in the retail field.  She was co-owner of A & G Bicycle Shop in Albany with her husband Ken for most of the 70s and 80s.  Before that time, she was a salesperson at Lerner Department Store in Albany, worked at Price Chopper for several years, as well as 23 Truck Plaza.  In her spare time, she enjoyed knitting, quilting, going to bingo and driving her friends around.  Most of all, she loved her family, and instilled in her sons and grandson, strong values that have served them well.   She will be dearly missed and forever in our hearts.

She was predeceased by her husband, Kenneth Agans; stepfather, Ralph Bartow; brothers, Raymond & George Miller.  She is survived by her sister, Magdalen; sons, Ralph & Edward; and grandson, Edward.

Funeral services will be held Friday October 18, 2024 at 11 am in the Daniel Keenan Funeral Home 490 Delaware Ave Albany. Relatives and friends are invited and may also visit with Rosie’s family from 9 to 11 am Friday prior to her service. Interment will follow at Our Lady Help of Christians Cemetery, Glenmont.
