Rohrmiller, Dorothy H.

ALBANY - Dorothy H. (Barnes) Rohrmiller, 85, passed away peacefully on December 26, 2018 at the St. Peter’s Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Albany.

Born in Jersey City, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Ida (Kiesche) Barnes and moved to Albany as a child.She was a graduate of Phillip Schuyler High School and Memorial Hospital School of Nursing. Mrs. Rohrmiller was a Registered Nurse since 1954. She worked at Albany Memorial Hospital for 1 year and then with the visiting nurses before moving to St. Peter’s Hospital in 1962 and remained there until her retirement in 1995. She was a longtime member of the Lutheran Church of the Holy Spirit, the AARP #78, NNORC and was Past President of the Memorial Hospital Alumnae Association.

She was the wife of late Richard A. Rohrmiller, Sr.; mother of Donna J. Rohrmiller of Ghana, West Africa, Deborah A. (Victor) Baranowski of Wynantskill, Richard A. Rohrmiller, Jr. of Doylestown, PA, Daniel J. (Marie) Rohrmiller of Albany and David E. (Amy) Rohrmiller of Wynantskill; sister of Eleanor (the late Robert) Shutter of LeHigh Acres, FL, Robert (Grace) Barnes of Amherst, NY and the late Raymond (Virginia) Barnes; grandmother of Victor, Kristi, Erik, William, Richard A. III, William, Hayden, Jacqueline Rachel, Stephanie and Brittney as well as 10 great grandchildren. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit the family on Sunday December 30, 2018 from 2-5 p.m. at the Daniel Keenan Funeral Home, 490 Delaware Ave, Albany.

Funeral services for Dorothy will be held on Monday December 31, 2018 at 10:00 am at the Lutheran Church of the Holy Spirit, 57Hurlbut St. Interment will follow the service in Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery, Central Ave. Colonie,
