Robinson-Mcgill, Denise “Neecee”

ALBANY- On March 27, 2023 at 1:11 am, the Lord called Mrs. Denise “NeeCee” Robinson McGill home. He whispered to her you have fought a good fight, you have finished your race and kept the faith; you are now ready to join me in eternal peace. Denise was predeceased by her parents, Bennie Robinson, Sr., Betty Robinson Portious and granddaughter Elle Marie Thompson.

NeeCee was born on July 7, 1965 and was the eldest of the children born to the late Bennie and Betty. She took her role as the oldest child to heart and was the protector of her entire family. NeeCee attended the Albany High School and she accepted Christ as her savior at the Arbor Hill Church in Albany, NY.

NeeCee was blessed with 5 children, LaShanna, EiToya, Keon, Javon and Roger. In 2020, she and Clinton (Cookie) were united in marriage. She was the love of his heart.

She was employed at Saint Peter’s Hospital and remained there until she retired for health reasons. NeeCee loved spending time with her family and friends and was known for her culinary skills. She had an excellent sense of humor and would always catch you with one of her infamous one liners.

She leaves to cherish her memory her husband, her children, her 12 grandchildren which were the loves of her heart because they provided her years of joy, her step father Vincent Portious, siblings: Subrena, Bennie, Kyla, Caseta, Maysline, Mica, Desmond, Delly, extended family and friends.

The visitation is on Thursday, April 6, 2023 from 10:00 am – 11:00 am with the funeral service immediately following at the Greater St. John’s (COGIC), 74 Fourth Ave., Albany, NY. 12202.
