ALBANY—Robert (Bob) Drew, 87, of Albany died at home with his two children by his side on Feb 10 2025.

Born in Brooklyn, NY, he spent his early years in Massapequa, LI before moving permanently to Albany in 1961. Bob earned a BS in Civil Engineering from Bucknell Univ in Lewisburg, PA in 1959. Bob was a career employee in the environmental field and served many years as an Administrative Law Judge with the NYS Dept of Environmental Conservation, with his last 10 years as Chief ALJ. He was predeceased by his wife, Doris B. Drew, who died in 2009 after 45 years of marriage, and is survived by his daughter, Dr Elizabeth Drew (and husband Rene Beaudry) of Winnipeg, Manitoba (Canada), and son Jonathan Drew (and his wife Dorothea) of Red Bank, NJ, as well as by two grandchildren, Christopher and Nicolas Drew, both currently studying in Germany.

Bob was deeply devoted to his family and was a communicant at Mater Christi Church in Albany. After several years as a widower, Bob was fortunate to meet Ann Eppelmann by accident in church one morning and thereafter they shared many years of dinners, day trips, and other pleasant times together.
