SCHENECTADY – Joseph J. Rinaldo, 73, passed away peacefully Friday, November 4, 2022 at St. Peter’s Hospital. Born and educated in Albany, he was the son of the late Joseph and Frances Rinaldo. Joe served in the US Marine Corps. during Vietnam. He worked for NYS OGS until 1986. He then entered the automobile sales business founding Titan Auto Sales in Albany. Joe enjoyed spending his day working with his son Jason and going to lunch every day. He enjoyed fishing and hunting with his best friends Tommy and Jimmy, and Friday night pizza and poker with his family.
He was husband of the late Margaret “Peggy” Montesano; father of Jason (Krista) Rinaldo, and Annie Rinaldo; brother of Charles (Theresa) Rinaldo, and the late William and Robert Rinaldo and Frances Peters; brother-in-law of David Peters, and Christine Rinaldo; grandfather of Maggie and J.J. Volmer, and Avianna Rinaldo. Joe is also survived by his companion Jennifer Cardona and her family Nicole Trimble, Steven Cardona and Dustin Cardona, Madison and Vivian Cardona, Grayson and Weston Trimble; and several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Joe’s family on Wednesday, November 9, from 4-7 pm in the Daniel Keenan Funeral Home, Inc., 490 Delaware Ave. Albany. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, November 10, at 10:00 am in the funeral home. Interment will follow in St. Agnes Cemetery, Menands. Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Pl., Memphis, TN 38105-9959.
