RAVENA – William “Bill” Patrick Rimmer, 80, passed away on March 11th, 2023. Bill was born on March 17th, 1942 to William and Anna Rimmerin Albany, NY.

In 1958, Bill met Rosemary at St. John’s High School. Bill and Rosemary went on to have four children, Bill, Stacey, Kara, and Mike.

Bill was a New York US Army National Guardsman for 9 years. He loved his job working at the US Postal Service as a letter carrier for over 30 years and was known to many as the friendly mailman.

In 2000, Bill retired and spent most of his time with his grandchildren, traveling to historical sites, drinking coffee, and gambling.

Bill was predeceased by his parents, William and Ann Rimmer; and his sister, Marianne Baldwin. He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Rosemary Rimmer; his brother, Al Rimmer; his four children, Bill Rimmer(Tracie), Stacey Jesmain, Kara Neubauer(Joe), and Mike Rimmer(Josh); his grandchildren, Sarah Jesmain(Sean), Katrina Neubauer, Joseph Neubauer Jr., and Michael Carofano; several nieces, nephews, cousins, as well as grand dogs and cats.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with his family on Friday, March 17, 2023 from 4-7 pm concluding with a prayer service at 7 pm.in the Daniel Keenan Funeral Home, Inc., 490 Delaware Ave. Albany. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, Northeastern Region, 440 New Karner Rd., Albany, NY 12205-3890.
