Reohr, Joseph H. Jr.

DELMAR- Joseph H. Reohr, Jr., 90, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 25, 2017. Born in Albany he was the son of the late Joseph H. Reohr, Sr. and Dorothy I. Reohr. He was a graduate of Albany High School and he attended Albany Business College and Siena College. Joseph was a WWII Navy Veteran and retired from the NYS Department of Taxation and Finance as Assistant Director after more than 40 years of service. He was a member of the Nathaniel Adams Blanchard American Legion Post #1040, the University Club and the Watervliet Elks.

He was the beloved husband of the late Doris G. (Decker) Reohr.; Father of Janice Monaghan (Peter), Joseph “Jay” H. Reohr III (Kim), Tyrell Bushnell (John), JoAnn Groat (Jay), and Christopher Reohr (Jennifer); grandfather of Christina and Jonathan Monaghan, Daniel (Shannon), and Stephen Reohr, Lindsay and Rebecca Reohr, and Jason Groat; also survived by his former wife Jean M. Reohr. He was also a godfather to Linda and Susan.

Relatives and friends are invited and may visit with his family on Thursday, June 29, 2017 from 4-7 p.m.in the Daniel Keenan Funeral Home, Albany. His Funeral service will be held Friday, June 30, 2017 at 10 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial will follow the service in Bethlehem Cemetery, Delmar, NY.
