Reissig, May M.

SLINGERLANDS-May (Marsch) Reissig, 97, passed away peacefully Sunday, November 12, 2017 at St. Peter’s Hospital.

Born in Albany, she was a graduate of Albany High School and attended Albany Business College. She married Harold J. Reissig in 1949 and resided in Delmar. Prior to becoming a full time homemaker, she worked at Ten Eyck Insurance Company. May enjoyed music, a good game of bridge, and she took excellent care of those she loved. She was a lifelong active member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church.

May was preceded in death by her husband, her parents and two siblings. She is survived by two daughters, Karen Wang (Richard) of Rexford, NY and Janice Reissig of Newark, DE and two granddaughters, Amanda Wang and Betsy Wang Sullivan.

Her funeral service will be held Thursday, November 16 at 11:15 a.m. at St. Matthew Lutheran Church, 75 Whitehall Rd., Albany. Relatives and friends are invited and may also visit with May’s family at the Daniel Keenan Funeral Home, 490 Delaware Ave. on Thursday from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. prior to the service. Interment will be in Bethlehem Cemetery, Elsmere.
