DELMAR- Charles “Chuck” Radliff Sr., 83, passed away peacefully on December 28, 2020, at Daughters of Sarah Nursing Center. Born on April 9, 1937 in South Bethlehem, he was the son of Ruth (Moak) and Harold Radliff. He was a graduate of Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk High School, class of 1954, and Hudson Valley Community College. Mr. Radliff was employed by Callanan Industries for 50 years until his retirement in 2005.
He was a volunteer firefighter at the Selkirk Fire Department #3 and an EMT for the Bethlehem Volunteer Ambulance Services for 20 years, a member of the Bethlehem Historical Society, and a communicant of St. Thomas the Apostle Church in Delmar. One of his greatest pleasures was his Tuesday morning breakfasts with the Men’s Fellowship group from the Delmar United Methodist Church. He enjoyed reading, local politics and restoring furniture in his basement workshop. However, he was most happy spending time with his family.
He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Lana (Mastriano) Radliff; his children, Kimberly Kerker (Charles), Jodie Smith (Jay), Jeffrey Radliff (Lisa), Charles Radliff, Jr., and Jennifer Gannett (Ben); his grandchildren, Allie Radliff, Emily Smith, Chandler Fahn (Justin), Alexander Kerker, Amy Smith, Chelsea Kerker, Samantha Radliff, Jack Radliff, Olivia Gannett, Natalie Gannett and Finn Gannett and his brother, Dennis Radliff and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his siblings, Judith Homand and David Radliff.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, funeral services will be held privately.
