Pilkington, Catherine E.

ALBANY - Catherine “Kitty” (Mooney ) Pilkington, 92, died Friday, July 19, 2013 at the Daughters of Sarah Nursing Home. Born and educated in Brooklyn, NY she was the daughter of the late Francis and Barbara (Casey) Mooney. Mrs. Pilkington was a nurse’s assistant at the Stratton Veterans Hospital for many years. Wife of the late John J. Pilkington and John F. Cushing; mother of Mary (Rick Genero) Pilkington of Albany, Margaret (Richard) A. Dodson of Austin TX, Daniel G. Pilkington of Los Angeles, CA and the late Brian M. Pilkington; grandmother of Richard S. (Brandy) Dodson; great-grandmother of Hadley and Drew Dodson. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grand nephews. She was predeceased by all of her siblings

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, July 27, 2013 at 9:30 am in the Parish of Mater Christi 40 Hopewell St. Albany. Relatives and friends are invited and may also call at the Daniel Keenan Funeral Home, 490 Delaware Ave., Albany on Friday July 26, 2013 from 4-7 pm.
