PELKEY, F. THOMAS

ALBANY- Thomas Pelkey, 67, died Tuesday, February 23, 2010 at home surrounded by his loving family. Tom was born in Albany and was a graduate of Albany High School and a veteran of the US Army. He worked for the City of Albany, Department of General Services for over 19 years, retiring last month.Tom was a member of the American Legion Bucci-McTague Post and the VFW Sheehy-Palmer Post #6776 where he enjoyed being with his many friends. He loved camping and looked forward to long weekends and vacations, spending time with family and friends at Riverside Pines.

Survivors include his wife of 34 years, Judy A. (Whelan) Pelkey; step-children, Richard Tarullo of Colonie and Tracy (Kevin) Rockenstyre of Malta; granddaughter, Jenna Rockenstyre; brothers and sisters-in-law, Mike (LouAnn) Whelan of Albany and Jack (Sandy) Whelan of Sarasota, FL..

Funeral services will be held 9:15 am Saturday, February 27, 2010 from the Daniel Keenan Funeral Home, 490 Delaware Ave., Albany thence to St. James Church, 391 Delaware Ave., where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am. Relatives and friends are invited and may also call at the funeral home on Friday, February 26, 2010 from 4 to 8 pm. Interment will be in Albany Rural Cemetery, Menands.
