Padula, Eleonora

GUILDERLAND- Eleonora Padula, 81, died Thursday, December 05, 2013 at Guilderland Center Nursing Home. Born in Montemurro, Italy she was the daughter of the late Rocco and Anna (Saladino) Delorenzo. She married Antonio Padula in 1954 and became a US citizen on June 16th, 1959. Mrs. Padula completed 33 years of service with the State, employed by the NYS Office of General Services, working at the State Capitol as an elevator operator. She was known and loved by many at the Capitol during her years of service.

She was wife of the late Antonio Padula; mother of Frank Padula; sister of Donata DeLuise and her family; David DeLuise and his children Isabella F. and Sofia C. DeLuise, Sara Britt (John Emmett), and her son Robert Britt; sister of the late Lena M. Delorenzo-Padula; brother-in-law Angelo Semeraro, and his family; Tommy (Dulcie) Semeraro and their son Anthony Semeraro, Rocco (Nicole) Semeraro, and their daughter Gianna Semeraro,; brother-in-law Vincent F. Padula and his family; Vincent F. Padula, Jr. (finance Kristin Edgar) and Dominic Padula; sister of the late Rosa Delorenzo-Cugno and her family; Anna (Mauro) Cugno-Acciavitti and their daughters Cinzia and Moira, Franka (Warren) Cugno-Sandham and their children Damien and Dominic; sister of the late Domenico Delorenzo and his family, Rocco (Giovanna) Delorenzo, and their children Domenico and Andrea; sister of the late Andrea Delorenzo and his family; Dominic (Rebecca) Delorenzo, and their daughter Martha; and Anton (Karen) Delorenzo.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 10, 2013 at 9:15 am from the Daniel Keenan Funeral Home Inc., 490 Delaware Ave. thence to St. Vincent DePaul Church, Madison Ave. Albany where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am. Relatives and friends are invited and may also call at the funeral home Monday, December 9, 2013 from 4-7 pm. Entombment will follow the Mass in the Mausoleum of St. Agnes Cemetery, Menands.
