Ostroff, Marilyn

GUILDERLAND- Marilyn (Kane) Ostroff, 92, passed away Thursday, August 17, 2017 at Our Lady of Mercy Life Center. Born and educated in Albany she was the daughter of the late William F. and Elizabeth (McCormick) Kane. Mrs. Ostroff worked in retail sales for many years at the former Flah’s Department Store. She was a communicant of St. Francis of Assisi Parish (formerly St. James).

She was the wife of the late Sanford Ostroff; sister of Arthur B. (Jean) Kane of Glenmont and the late William F. Kane, Jr.; aunt of Donna M. (Thomas) Richards and Michael (Nancy Denson) Kane; great-aunt of Thomas, Gregory, Matthew and Mary Richards, Sydney, Sawyer and Spencer Kane.

Her family would like to thank the Fatima Unit staff for their care and compassion.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Funeral Mass on Tuesday, August 22nd at 10:30 a.m. in St. Francis of Assisi Parish, 391 Delaware Ave. Burial will follow at 12:30 p.m. in the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, 200 Duell Rd., Schuylerville. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Francis Chapel, 145 Wolf Road Shoppers Park #7 Albany, NY 12207.
