O’CONNELL, THOMAS R.


LOUDONVILLE-Thomas R. O’Connell, 72, died Tuesday, November 10, 2009 at Albany Memorial Hospital. Born in Auburn, New York he was the son of the late Philip Anthony and Uneatta (Reid) O’Connell. Tom was a graduate of Auburn East High School and a 1959 graduate of Cornell University where he played center on the Football team. He was a Major in the US Army and served in Vietnam.

Tom was a founding partner of Feed Ingredient Trading Corporation in Delmar, NY and a Communicant of St. Pius X Church in Loudonville.

Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Marcia (Kahl) of Loudonville; a son Tom his wife Kathleen and two grandchildren, Ryan and Erin of Weston, CT and several nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am Saturday, November 14, 2009 in St. Pius X Church, Loudonville. The family will receive relatives and friends in the Chapel at St. Pius X Church Friday, November 13, 2009 from 4 to 7 pm. Entombment will follow the Mass at St. Agnes Cemetery in Menands.
