ALBANY- Thomas P. Neylan, 74, died Saturday, August 13, 2011 at the Daughters of Sarah Nursing Center. Born in Albany he was the son of the late Richard and Lucy (Dennett) Neylan. Tom attended Cathedral Academy and received his bachelors degree from Siena College in 1958. He was employed with the NYS Dept. of Transportation for over thirty years retiring in 1999. Tom was a longtime communicant of the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception.
He is survived by his sister Mary Neylan of Albany; brother Michael Neylan of Powell, OH; nieces Kellie and Lisa Neylan and Heidi Minard. Tom is also survived by four grandnieces and grandnephews and Longtime friend Elizabeth Breault and her family. He was predeceased by his brother Harry Neylan.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, August 17, 2011 at 10:30 am in the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, 125 Eagle Street, Albany, NY 12202. Relatives and friends are invited and may also call at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception Wednesday, prior to the Mass from 9-10:30 am. Interment, will be in St. Agnes Cemetery, Menands.
