Morrison, Christine “Chrissy”

ALBANY – Christine “Chrissy” (nee Simmons) Morrison, 65, passed away after a courageous battle against cancer at the Hospice Inn at St. Peter’s Hospital, Thursday, December 07, 2017.

Loving mother of John Morrison; dear sister of Maryhelen Nardolillo (Larry), Suzanne Simmons, Patrick Simmons (Diane), Robert Simmons, Garry Simmons (Ann) and sister-in-law Margaret “Maggie” (Ellis) Simmons; also survived by her partner of over 40 years, James Tupper; her grandson Killian, and many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. Christine was predeceased by her parents Patrick and Winifred (Maloy) Simmons; brothers Michael and Joseph Simmons and sister Winifred “Sissy” Courcelle.

Christine attended Bishop Maginn High School and was employed as a store manager for Price Chopper supermarkets, retiring in 2013 after 35 years of service. She loved to vacation in summer on Long Beach Island at the Jersey Shore, take trips to Wildwood, NJ, the Saratoga Races and vacations in Florida. She enjoyed traveling, shopping and good times with family and friends.

Her family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks and gratitude to the entire staff of the Hospice Inn and St. Peter’s Hospital for their loving care and attention.

Family and friends are invited to visit with Christine’s family on Sunday, December 10, from 3-6 p.m.at the Daniel Keenan Funeral Home490 Delaware Ave. Albany. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday, December 11 at 10:00 a.m. in St. Francis of Assisi Church, 391 Delaware Ave. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Glenmont.
