Michelle M. Cerone, 69, of Albany passed away on April 22, 2024, with her husband Joseph by her side. Born in Albany on December 18, 1954, she was the daughter of Marjorie (Allen) Laurent and the late René Laurent.
Michelle was a graduate of Bethlehem Central High School class of 1973. After graduation Michelle went to work for DMV, then for 2 years became a contract driver picking up and delivering photos and films. On June 19th, 1982, Michelle married the love of her life, Joe. Throughout their marriage of over 41 years, they had many adventures together. Traveling through different countries. Michelle later worked for NY DOT for 18 years and retired in 2019. Michelle had such a beautiful smile that when she looked at you it made you smile. Michelle loved all animals. Michelle was an avid outdoors woman, enjoying hiking with her sister Debbie, as well golfing with her father René and her husband Joe and her sister-in-law Janice and brother in-law Rich. Michelle enjoyed going to craft fairs and flea markets with her mother, sister Debbie, and husband Joe. In addition, Michelle enjoyed the day trips she took with her husband all throughout the New England area. Michelle enjoyed spending time with her friends, Gail LaBlanc and Terri Cellini. She will be greatly missed by all that knew her. Heaven has certainly gained an Angel that is now reunited with family that have passed.
Michelle is survived by her loving husband and soul mate, Joseph Cerone, her mother Marjorie Laurent, her sisters Deborah Laurent, and Renée Laurent, Sister-in Laws Janice Behuniak (Richard), Donna Kenney (Matt), and Christine Cerone. Also, several nieces and nephews, Jared Suitto, Renée Suitto, Whitney Crowningshield, Ryan Cerone, Matthew Cerone, Jamie Cerone, and Stacy Swierzewski (Adam). And her great niece Isabella Hall.
Michelle was predeceased by her father, Rene’, her grandmother and grandfather, Margaret and Regis Allen, her mother-in-law and father-in-law, James and Shirley Cerone, and her brother-in-law, James Cerone.
The family would like to extend their gratitude to Diane Morin for all the care and kindness throughout this difficult time.
Services will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
