Mccready, Ann Lee

d. May 22, 2022

JUPITER,FL-In the early hours of Sunday, May 22, Ann Lee McCready passed away. As wife, sister, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend she will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. Lee was quiet but fierce in her loyalty to her family, friends, and her faith.

Lee was born in 1933 in New York City and grew up in Mount Kisco, NY. For the last 56 years, she has been a Florida resident, living in Miami Beach and most recently in Jupiter, FL.

She was the valedictorian of both high school (St. Mary’s Catholic School, Katanoh, NY) and college (Georgian Court). Early in her career she worked for Japan Airlines; later she put her creativity and attention to detail skills to work as an interior designer and realtor. But she would tell you that her most cherished job was as a mother.

Lee was an active volunteer supporting those less fortunate. She loved knitting, playing Mah Jongg, the opera, cooking, and most importantly supporting her family and friends in any way she could. Lee was often referred to as the sweetest, kindest and most generous person amongst anyone who knew her.

Family was everything to Lee. She was a friend, cheerleader, nurturer, confidant, and supporter of her husband and children. Lee gave her all and asked nothing in return. Her love was boundless and unconditional. Many would say she had the patience of a saint!

She leaves behind a devoted husband of 65 years, James Webb McCready, Jr., MD, four children; James Webb McCready, III (wife Linda McCready), Juliann Lee McCready, Kendall McCready Reilly (husband Christopher Reilly, DDS,MD); and Siobhan McCready Bunaes (husband Erik Bunaes); ten grandchildren – James (Mac) W. McCready, IV, Emily McCready, Joseph McCready, Greg Eversole (Liu Xiajun), Chelsea Eversole, Ryan Reilly, Kyle Reilly, Connor Reilly, Jack Bunaes and Christopher Bunaes; and her sister Marie Louise Kehoe and many nieces and nephews who she dearly loved. She was predeceased by her parents Mary Esther Murray Bauman and Henry Baumann, DDS.

A Mass will be held on June 4, 9 am at St. Francis Assisi Church in Mt. Kisco, NY. She will be buried near her loving parents at Sleepy Hollow Cemetery in Sleepy Hollow, NY.

In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to St. Jude or JL Cares, 16823 Captain Kirle Drive, Jupiter FL, 33477.
