Mccaffrey, Anne P.

ALBANY – Anne Perry McCaffrey, passed away peacefully at home Tuesday, August 7, 2018. Born January 18, 1932 in Albany, she was the daughter of Henry Perry and Winifred Perry Anderson. Anne graduated from Albany High School and Albany Business College. She was employed with the Catholic Diocese of Albany for many years.

Happily married for over 49 years to her husband James P. McCaffrey (deceased in 2007); she was also predeceased by her sister Elizabeth Russ.

She is survived by her children James “Jimmer” McCaffrey (Rochelle Bostrom), Mary Elizabeth “Liz” McCaffrey and Thomas G. “Tommy” McCaffrey (Kelly Mullen); grandchildren Matthew James, Erica Rose, and Tiarnan Aine McCaffrey; her brother David Perry (Barbara); sister-in-law Nancy McCaffrey and many nieces and nephews.

Anne’s strong Catholic faith and beautiful smile carried her through trying times with grace and dignity. She loved baseball, Cooperstown, Ted Williams and her trips to Ireland.

The family wishes to sincerely thank the Angels, Takiah Johnson, Community Hospice and Nettie.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Anne’s family on Sunday, August 12 from 3-6 pm in the Daniel Keenan Funeral Home, 490 Delaware Ave., Albany. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday, August 13, at 10am in The Parish of Mater Christi, 40 Hopewell St. Albany. Interment will follow the Mass in St. Agnes Cemetery, Menands.
