Mastaitis, Alice M.

ALBANY- Alice Smith Mastaitis, 87, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Saturday November 27, 2010. Born in Albany, she was the daughter of the late Ernest J. and Theresa (Martin) Smith. She was predeceased by her husband of 48 years, Stephen J. Mastaitis, Sr.; mother of Susan Dupuis (the late Jean) of Glenmont Patricia (George) Wilson of Saratoga Springs, Stephen (Jane) Mastaitis, Jr. of Saratoga Springs, Nancy (Jim) Campbell of Schenectady and Carolyn (Ed) Behan of Wilton; sister of Floyd Smith of East Greenbush, Marion Smith McGuire of Slingerlands and the late Joseph and Harold Smith and Kathleen Schuff. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Alice was a graduate of the former Cathedral Academy and worked for 38 years for the New York Telephone Company, retiring in 1979.

She was a communicant of the former St. James Church in Albany and Holy Infancy Church in Lake Luzerne, NY and a member of the Telephone Pioneers.

She and her husband Stephen were blessed to spend 15 years together after retirement spending time with their family in Lake Luzerne and their home in Florida. One of Alice
