Martin, Neil E.

FEURA BUSH – Neil E. Martin, 71, passed away Friday, December 3, 2021 at home after he fought cancer valiantly for 3 years with his wife Wanda by his side.

Born in Albany he graduated from Ravena-Coeymans High School and was the son of the late Fortis and Naomi Hannay Martin.

Neil worked for BOC/Linde for over 35 years as plant operator.

He served in the US Navy from 1968-1974 and was a member of the American Legion 1493 in Voorheesville.

He was a wonderful husband and father who enjoyed carpentry and was continually working on the house and improving his property. He was a big believer that families should all sit at the table and have dinner together.

Neil’s family would like to thank Gordon, Pete, Kevin and all the neighbors and churches for their kindness and compassion they extended to them during his illness.

Neil is survived by his wife of 34 years, Wanda Hempel Martin; daughter Terra Martin and his brother Wayne (Martha) Martin. He is also survived by two nephews and the love of his life and canine companion Chance Martin.
