Marquardt, Marie L.

ALBANY-Marie L. (Venduro) Marquardt, 87, died Tuesday, February 16, 2010 at the Albany Medical Center .Born in Albany, the daughter of the late Joseph and Lucy (Mangine) Venduro, Mrs. Marquardt was a graduate of Albany High and the former Albany Business College. She retired in 1987 from SUNY Albany as a receptionist/typist for the Counseling and Psychology Department with 23 years of service. She had previously worked as a clerk in the former S&H Green Stamps store in Albany.Mrs. Marquardt was a Communicant of Historic St. Mary’s Church on Capitol Hill and a member of AARP.

Wife of the late Erwin W. “Mark” Marquardt; mother of Richard Klender of Nassau Lake, NY, Joan Quigley of Sebring, FL and the late Paul Marquardt; sister of Joseph Venduro of Florida and the late Frances Hartman, Dorothy Huslander and Rocco Venduro. Also survived by eight grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 9:30 am Saturday, February 20, 2010 at Historic St. Mary’s Church on Capitol Hill. Relatives and friends are invited and may also call at the Daniel Keenan Funeral Home, 490Delaware Ave., Albany on Friday, February 19, 2010 form 4 to 7 pm. Interment will be in Graceland Cemetery, Albany.
