Marion A. Chrysogelos

DELMAR- Marion Chrysogelos, 91, passed away on March 5, 2025 at her home surrounded by family. Born in Albany, she was the daughter of Salvatore and Louise (DeFillipo) Criscone and graduated from Philip Schuyler High School, Class of 1952. Marion was preceded in death by her loving husband, John Chrysogelos and is survived by her three children: Christina, John (Jeanine), and Lisa. Known affectionately as “Yia-Yia”, Marion was the grandmother of 5 grandchildren; Steven, Nicole (Martin), John (Luciana), Cassandra, and Olivia, as well as great- grandmother to Aiden, Miles, Avery, Valentina, and Melania. She is also survived by her sister, Diana LaRose (the late Bernard) and many nieces and nephews.
Marion was a 4H leader for over 20 years. She worked as the cafeteria manager for 19 years at the Bethlehem Central High School. She was an avid Mets fan and enjoyed gardening and jigsaw puzzles.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday March 10, 2025 at 11 am in St. Thomas the Apostle Church 35 Adams Place, Delmar. Relatives and friends are invited and may also visit with Marion's family on Sunday March 9, 2025 from 2-5 pm in the Daniel Keenan Funeral Home 490 Delaware Ave. Albany. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Glenmont
