Marcil, Jean

ALBANY- Jean Hodgkins Marcil, 80 of Albany, passed away peacefully, on May 22, 2021.

Born in Castleton, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Anna (Burnett) Hodgkins. Jean was a graduate of Castleton High School and Bryant College of Smithfield, Rhode Island. Early in her career she worked for Paul Revere Insurance Company and then a 30-year career with the Supreme Court, Appellate Division as a court clerk in Albany. Jean enjoyed traveling to Mexico and Maine, reading, watching and attending Boston Red Sox games and spending time with her many beloved cats. Jean was married to her late husband, Patrick, for over 50 years. Jean is survived by her sister, Rita Bedell, brother-in-law Allan (Danielle), sisters-in-law, Irene, Janet and Dawn, several nieces and nephews, good friends Claudia Eagan, Matt and Renee Leguire, Peter and Marie Semenza and her loving caregivers, Kim, Feebee and Miliza. She was predeceased by her brothers-in-law, Joseph Leroy Marcil and Richard Bedell.

Funeral Services will be privately held at the convenience of the family.
