Marciano, Irene C.

ALBANY-Irene C. (Jones) Marciano, 85, died Thursday, July 1, 2010 at St. Peter’s Hospital. Born in Albany and a graduate of Albany High School she was the daughter of the late Nicholas and Catherine (Cain) Jones. Mrs. Marciano worked for Key Bank for over 40 years. She was an avid reader and enjoyed doing embroidery.

Wife of the late Dominic Marciano; beloved mother of Catherine M. Marciano of Albany; sister of the late Celia Albert; sister-in-law of Harold Albert, Sr. of Albany; aunt of Harold Albert, Jr. and his partner Francis X. DeNicola, Bryan Albert, Robert Albert and Diane Albert and her fiancé Andre Krievs. She is also survived by several grandnieces, grandnephews and a large extended Marciano family.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 am Tuesday, July 6, 2010 at St. Francis of Assisi Church (formerly St. James Church), 391 Delaware Ave., Albany. Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the Daniel Keenan Funeral Home, 490 Delaware Ave., Albany on Monday, July 5, 2010 from 4 to 7 pm. Interment will be in Our Lady of Angels Cemetery, Colonie.
